to tell the truth my parents are badly hit by the recession.
the shares are dropping, their investments are not having returns.
their jobs for those who know what they work as,
yup the orders are lesser,
recession causes companies to have lesser work and thus it directly links down to those poor workers who will have lesser jobs to do, therefore there are heavy retrenchments everywhere.
so who wants more workers?
therefore it affects my parents.
i just got the message from my relatives living overseas.
my uncle who used to live in bukit timah in a nice condo just migrated to USA with his family only months ago. because his wife is a university scholar, she is good in accounting, her company shifted her and her family to usa, with free housing and lodging. but she just got fired. how scary can it be. it's like, you just reached usa and everything's gone. she's literally stuck there because her sons are already studying there and trying to rely on her husband to work, there aint much choice now. they used to be doing very fine in spore, but now who knows. that's why it's scary.
another aunty of mine living in Australia, Sydney, called and told my grandmother that her husband is starting to have lesser and lesser work to do, it means lesser income. everywhere is hit by the current recession. mum told me to start saving up, just in case. what if it is still here when i'm in my twenties?
